Plague doctor darkest dungeon 212/31/2023 Using a mastery point on this skill will increase its base damage, crit chance, and bleed damage. Incision deals moderate damage, has decent base crit, and has a change of leaving a 3 point bleed for 3 rounds (5 rounds with a crit) if they do not resist. Incision is a melee attack that can be used from any of the first three positions but can only hit position 1 or 2 of the enemy’s ranks. Skill Three – Incision: The third skill for the Plague Doctor is Incision. Blinding gas can be a great move to take some of the pressure off your team against enemies such as double Arbalest in The Tangle. Each enemy’s chance at getting this is rolled separately. The mastery point also gives a 33% chance to apply a combo token to the enemy. Using an upgrade on Blinding Gas adds a dazing effect to the skill, which causes effected enemies to take their action at the end of the next round. The blind debuff does roll against enemy’s debuff resistance, however, so make sure you check those stats before throwing it out. The skill has a 1 round cooldown and can be used to blind the enemies, causing their next attack to have a 50% chance to miss. Blinding gas can be used from either of the back positions and hits both of the backline enemy positions. Skill Two – Blinding Gas: The Plague Doctor’s second ability is Blinding Gas. On the surface a move such as Noxious Blast might seem weak, but it does great damage on anything that will survive for the three turn duration. In addition, the move will now consume a combo token on the enemy if it has one in order to bypass 30% of the monsters blight resistance, making it much less likely for them to resist the dot application. Using a mastery point on Noxious blast increases the base damage slightly as well as bumps the blight damage to 6 per round. If the skill does crit, the DOT will last for 5 rounds instead of 3. Noxious blast deals low damage and has low crit, but has a chance to apply a damage over time blight which will deal 4 damage a round for 3 rounds. This skill can be used from any position other than the first, but can only hit position 1 or 2 of the enemy. Skill One – Noxious Blast: The Plague Doctor’s first skill is Noxious Blast. My hope is that this guide series will help you decide who you’d like to unlock skills on first during your playthroughs. In this guide I’ll go over every skill of the Plague Doctor as well as what adding a mastery point to each skill does for you. With judicious use of Disorienting Blast your close-range fighters like the Crusader, who struggle with finding a way to hit enemies further back, will always have a foe up front that they can hack away at.Hey everyone, Adam here with a Darkest Dungeon 2, Plague Doctor Guide. This might seem like a trivial bonus but, when it's added to an already perfectly decent skill it makes it all the more helpful. What's more, the skill also removes all corpses from the battlefield. The most obvious downside when compared to Blinding Gas is that the skill can't it multiple enemies, however, this is made up for by the fact it can hit the second rank. Despite essentially doing the same thing, Disorienting Blast has a number of different properties. If you do decide to make use of Emboldening Vapours it's definitely a skill you want to upgrade quickly, since doing sense directly improves the strength of the overall buff. The Crusader, Man-at-Arms and Leper are all characters that would happily benefit from the damage and the speed buff. Perhaps the most useful application for Emboldening Vapours is in parties with relatively low speed but that hit heavy. Their one saving grace is that they are fairly fast, with a good speed rating, which, when combined with their ability to stun, ensures that they can keep themselves and the party safe. Plague Doctors have fairly low HP and attack power, coupled with only a reasonable dodge level. Because of their diversity, and access to an abundance of decent moves for a variety of situations, they're a perfect character type to bring along to new areas, since, so long as you have several of their different moves unlocked (or have read this guide), some configuration will be useful.Īll of this diversity and utility comes at the cost of their raw stats. Primarily, the Plague Doctor focuses on harassing the enemy with status effects, be it blight, bleed or by stunning them. Whilst their raw damage output is nothing to get excited about, they're one of the few characters to have access to both blight AND bleed skills. The Plague Doctor is one of the first support characters that you'll have access to.
